Law Enforcement or Regulatory Enquiries

Requests for user account information from law enforcement agencies or regulatory notices should be directed to the following entities:

  • Australia: CoinJar Australia Pty Ltd
  • United Kingdom: CoinJar UK Limited
  • European Economic Area (EEA): CoinJar Europe Limited

CoinJar will only respond to valid requests or notices issued in compliance with applicable law.

Australia

Court orders, notices and law enforcement enquiries should be addressed to CoinJar Australia Pty Ltd by email to compliance@coinjar.com.

Law enforcement enquiries must also include a formal request on letterhead which is dated and signed by an authorised person, which includes:

  • the subject or individual(s) of the request
  • the information requested
  • the statutory powers under which the information is requested (if any)
  • confirmation that the information is required for the prevention, detection, investigation and prosecution or punishment of criminal offences.

United Kingdom

Court orders, notices and law enforcement enquiries should be addressed to CoinJar UK Limited by email to compliance@coinjar.com.

Law enforcement enquiries must also include a personal data request form, which includes:

  • the subject or individual(s) of the request
  • the information requested
  • the statutory powers under which the information is requested (if any)
  • confirmation that the information is required for any one of the following purposes:
    • to prevent or detect crime;
    • to apprehend of prosecute offenders; or
    • to assess or collect a tax, duty or similar imposition.

European Economic Area (EEA)

Court orders, notices and law enforcement enquiries should be addressed to CoinJar Europle Limited by email to compliance@coinjar.com.

Law enforcement enquiries must also include a personal data request form, which includes:

  • the subject or individual(s) of the request
  • the information requested
  • the statutory powers under which the information is requested (if any)
  • confirmation that the information is required for the prevention, investigation, detection or prosecution of criminal offences or the execution of criminal penalties, including the safeguarding against and the prevention of threats to public security.
